A checklist that applies everywhere
- Confirm your license status and transfer process.
- Ask the MLS and board what forms or fees apply.
- Review pending deals under state rules and your current brokerage agreement.
- Confirm whether separate E&O coverage is required.
- Check whether state taxes on commissions may apply.
- Plan your timing to avoid gaps in your business.
