Stock purchase plan
SPP bonus shares
Capping award
Attraction award
Elite awards
How does the stock purchase plan work?
The plan is optional. You opt in through Real Support. Real then sets aside 5% of your net commission before cap, or 10% after cap. Purchases begin once $250 has accumulated, at the month-end closing price. Bonus shares add 10% before cap or 15% after cap. A maximum contribution applies. You can opt out at any time, but you can't rejoin until your anniversary reset.
Hypothetical purchase at a $5.00 share price
The $5.00 price below is hypothetical, not a forecast.
Before cap
$5,000 net commission x 5% = $250. At $5.00, that buys 50 shares, plus 5 bonus shares, for 55 total.
After cap
$7,000 net commission x 10% = $700. At $5.00, that buys 140 shares, plus 21 bonus shares, for 161 total.
What is the capping award?
Real grants these shares when you reach your cap in your anniversary year. They vest over 3 years.
The award is a set number of shares, which Real may change as it grows.
What is the attraction award?
Real grants these shares when an agent you directly attracted to Real closes their first sale with at least $2,000 in GCI on that single sale. Leases and referrals don't count. The shares vest over 3 years.
The award is a set number of shares, which Real may change as it grows.
What is Elite Agent status?
Elite is Real’s top production status. After you cap, you qualify in the same anniversary year in one of two ways: pay $6,000 in post-cap fees, or close $500,000 or more in GCI and 10 completed transactions of $1 million or more (receiving at least 50% of the commission on each). Elite Agents get a $12,000 production award in stock, pay a $100 post-cap fee, and have revenue share unlocked through Tier 5 for that year. Elite Agents who meet Real’s give-back criteria, such as teaching at Real Academy, can also receive an $8,000 cultural award.
What happens to stock if I leave?
| Stock type | What happens |
|---|---|
| Shares you bought through the plan | Yours to keep. You can sell them one year after they are issued, even if you leave Real. |
| Bonus shares | Vest after one year. Forfeited if you leave before then. |
| Capping, attraction and Elite awards | Vest after 3 years. Forfeited if you leave before then. |
