SPONSOR NETWORK
How Real's sponsor tiers and unlocks work
Short answer
Revenue share follows the sponsor chain down five tiers. Tier 1 is the agents you sponsor directly. Tier 2 is the agents they sponsor, and so on down to Tier 5. Every sponsor starts with Tier 1. Tiers 2 to 5 have to be unlocked.
Your network, tier by tier
TIER 1
5%
of that agent's pre-cap GCI, up to $4,000 per anniversary year for a $12,000-cap agent.

Three ways to unlock tiers
Producing Tier 1 agents
At 5 producing Tier 1 agents, Tier 2 unlocks. At 15, Tier 3. At 20, Tier 4. At 25, Tier 5.
Network size
Real counts agents in your network under its current rules (source). A network of 750 to 999 agents unlocks Tier 3, 1,000 to 1,499 unlocks Tier 4, and 1,500 or more unlocks Tier 5. If your network falls below a threshold, you drop a tier.
Your production
Capping at $12,000 unlocks through Tier 3 the next day. Elite Agent status unlocks through Tier 5. Both reset on your anniversary.
Only producing agents count for the first path. Agents in their one-time 6-month grace period do not count toward unlocks.
Example: one sale, three levels
You
$300, Tier 3
A
$400, Tier 2
B
$500, Tier 1
C
$10,000 sale
C pays Real $1,500 from the pre-cap split. If the tiers are unlocked, B earns $500, A earns $400, and you earn $300. Real keeps $300. C's own commission is unchanged.
Example: a year with two levels
You sponsored A, and A sponsored B. A reaches $80,000 in GCI and caps, so your Tier 1 revenue share on A tops out at $4,000. B reaches $60,000 and never caps: that's $2,400 to you at Tier 2 if Tier 2 is unlocked, and $3,000 to A at Tier 1. Your total is $6,400 before fees, or $4,000 if Tier 2 is locked.
Both totals are before the $175 yearly fee and 1.2% on later payments. This is a program example, not a promise of income.
What happens when an agent caps
Revenue share on that agent stops for everyone above them as soon as the agent caps. It begins again when that agent's anniversary year resets.
Sponsor vs team leader
Sponsor
Named on the independent contractor agreement. May receive revenue share from Real. Has no authority over the agent and takes no team split.
Team leader
Runs a team and may receive a team split under a separate team agreement. The team leader may be a different person from the sponsor.
Rules that protect agents
- A sponsor never takes money from your commission.
- Your sponsor choice becomes permanent after signing, with a limited exception if the sponsor leaves Real.
- Nothing of value may be offered in exchange for naming a sponsor.

Before you apply
Choose the sponsor who influenced you.
Your Real sponsor is named on your application and is separate from a team leader. A sponsor does not change your commission split. Review your choice before signing.
